750px-UvasFirst, SOHO will pour a 2011 La Puerta Alta Torrontes from Famatina Valley, Argentina. The winemaker says the wine offers: “A bright green-gold color showing vibrant floral aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle. There are crisp citrus notes on the palate.”

Next, SOHO will pour a 2011 BenMarco Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina. The winemaker says  of the wine: “Beautiful deep purple color with perfumed aromas of ripe red fruits and roasted coffee beans. It is lush, full bodied and penetrating on the palate with loads of chewy, currant jam flavors, bright acidity, and a touch of grip on the almost savory finish.”

Finally, SOHO will pour a 2011 Paul Hobbs Felino Cabernet from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is described by the winemakers: “Intense notes of blackberry, cherry, and black tea entice the nose, before hints of black pepper and smoke rise from this saturated inky purple cabernet sauvignon. The richly textured palate brings black cherry, milk chocolate, rose petal jam and subtle clove tones supported by firm, velvety tannins.”

SOHO executive chef Joe Ahn has created three tapas plates to be paired with each South American wine.
