SOHO Atlanta will continue to spotlight the wines and flavors of Spain on flight night, Wednesday, April 20.
Bobal grapes in Spain
First, SOHO will pour a 2006 Bodegas Luzon Altos de Luzon from Jumilla, Spain. The wine is a blend of 50% Monastrell, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Tempranillo. On the palate, the Altos de Luzon features rich flavors of ripe plums, blackberry, and cassis, as well as notes of warm spices.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2008 Bodegas Sierra Norte Pasion de Bobal from Utiel-Reguena, Spain. This wine, 100% Bobal, features aromas of rasberry, cherry, cinnamon and all-spice. On the palate, the wine is rich and spicy.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2004 Bodegas Ysios from Rioja, Spain. The wine is 100% Tempranillo. On the palate, the wine offers flavors of plum, mineral and chocolate.
