This March, SOHO Atlanta will spotlight the wines of Sonoma County, California. The Sonoma tour begins on flight night Wednesday, March 2.
Schug winery in Sonoma Valley
First, SOHO will pour a 2008 Adobe Road Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek, California. On the palate, the wine offers tastes of green apple, caramel, and vanilla, along with notes of pumpkin and nutmeg spices.
Next, SOHO will pour a 2007 Schug Merlot from Sonoma Valley, California. This wine is a Bordeaux-style blend of 76% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. On the nose, the Schug Merlot has notes of spice. On the palate the wine offers flavors of cherry, blackberry and spice.
Finally, SOHO will pour a 2007 Highway 12 Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, California. The Highway 12 Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of dark berries and French oak. On the palate, the wine is silky, big and bold.
SOHO's executive chef Joe Ahn has prepared three tapas plates to pair with each Sonoma wine. The following will be featured on SOHO's menu until Wednesday, March 9.
